Title: Interior walls
Post by: lewis_webb on July 28, 2010, 04:30:40 pm: Hello, Has anybody got any tips for cleaning white interior walls? I clean a couple of stairwells and have noticed the walls getting black stuffs but cant seem to find anything to clean it off with.

Any suggestions? Everything i try just seems to smear the stain up the walls.

I heard before a very strange method, that I have never used but can be useful. Sprinkle the surface with a heavy application of talcum powder and when dry, remove with the vacuum cleaner using a brush attachment. I hope it will be useful.

We use to do walls and ceilings with a micro splitter called One-step (which seems to have disappeared).

The reason I have given you this link is that they used to send out free videos / DVDs of the process in action.

It might be worth giving them a call.

thanks for the replies. Its not gloss no, its just matt white paint. I have emailed that company you suggested, will see what they say.
