Title: EXCELLENT ROUND FOR SALE
Post by: andypandy on September 07, 2005, 08:50:08 pm
YES UNFORTUNATELY I STILL HAVE A WINDOW CLEANING ROUND FOR SALE IN EAST LONDON DUE TO A TIME WASTER, MONEY IN HIS HEAD BUT NOT IN THE BANK. THIS IS A GUARANTEED ROUND GENERATING £700-£800 MONTHLY WITH GREAT POTENTIAL.

Hi Martin, this is the timewaster.

You talked the talk with regards to prices over the phone, £5-6 for just front of houses but this wasn't quite true.

"have you got any proof of address Martin" i asked, a valid question I thought considering I was preparing to hand over £1400 cash in the street. But the tea boy replied with a puzzled look on his face " I would have brought some if I knew you wanted it".

I am new to this game, but I'm no mug and I think the point I made was valid.

I think you're 'clean it up' name sums you up Andypandy. Oh yeah and the money in my head goes back into my bank.

P.S. say hello to Ted and Looby loo for me.

In the early days of my w/c career(!) I have bought two lots of £150 worth of window cleaning.

Before I have ever handed over cash I have been personally introduced by the vendor to every customer and had a verbal agreement as to how much I would charge and how often I would call.

Business sense is common sense.

ANDYPANDY:Think youve been put back in your box,the waste of time  could have remained anon. Iwish someone would hand money over to me in the street.
This posting is no way taking sides, just a warning to people who are buying for the first time to be careful, not saying any thing was wrong with those involved in this posting.

I bought a round for £65 six months ago of a very big firm that bought it a month earlier for £60 , It came with pages of customers the only thing was that the origanal guy had the road names but no proper house numbers  ;D just 1-10 - ie he does 10 houses in that road  ???

I ended up door knocking in the end just to see who had their windows cleaned - in the end I got a few days worth out of it - like you say - lots of muppets out there  :-\

Best thing to do for anyone buying any round, is to ask for a list of either phone numbers or addresses and to ring or call on 10-20 customers randomly.

That would,nt take much time to do, or better still ask the seller if he will go round the customers with you, in round order for just one day, before any handover of money.

You may also find that a number of cancellations come to light, and these need to be deducted from the bill
