All of those who have comercial work, how often do you put your prices up? And by what percentage?.

I have yet to put mine up either.  I would be interested to hear how you can get any increase particularly in an area where there are many alternative w/c's looking for work.

How do you communicate this to the client ?

Hi everyone,

I increase prices every year, usually by 3%. You can justify this cost very easily to your clients.

1) New health & safety legislation
2) Cost of continuing training
3) Water rates
4) National minimum wage increase
5) Ever increasing insurance premiums
6) Annual government increases (Tax, NI etc)

Every business out there knows costs rise on an annual basis.

If you have not raised your prices in a couple of years, tell your clients this.

Hope this helps

Andrew

P.s. If you enter into a contract with your clients i.e. 2 or 3 yr etc, you can build an annual increase int this. We do this for contract cleaning

Andrew,

Do you put this in writing and do you have a copy I could have.

Also what wording do you use when bulding it into a quotation for a contract.

Thanks,

Sarill
