Title: staining on 100% wool carpet
Post by: shine services on July 26, 2010, 11:32:39 pm
did a cream wool carpet today has juice stains. Pre-sprayed, aggitated, left to dwell 10 mins and rinsed with f&f. no improvement, used stain pro, no improvements. The stain are well and truly sealed in. Any1 got any ideas? I was thinking sodium met but havnt used it before and am a bit wary. would hydrogen peroxide bleach it too brightly?

Don't try and be a hero. Some stains just won't shift and the danger is you can make things worse. When you say juice is it fruit juice or fizzy pop either way they are highly acidic and will etch into the wool fibres.

Just be carefull you dont make it worse mate and weaken the fibres on the carpet with hitting it with all the chemicals..John has done a good post with his advice..

I would re-read John Kelly's post, incase you mist the jist of his advice. Do you know what red RX is?
