Title: Data Protection Act
Post by: JJdomestics on September 07, 2005, 05:15:04 pm
Hi
I need help quick! We have just had a call for our fist quote for office cleaning. They have asked to see a copy of our confidentiality report (whuich we don't have) to make sure that anything our cleaners read or see will be covered. Can anyone help me as to what I put in such a report or let me have a look at one. PLEASE!!!!

Hi

I will send you a copy of ours, just change the company name etc. This needs to be signed by each employee. Then copy and send off to your client.

Andrew

P.s. will take about an hour to dig it out :-)

Hi from Jan
Don't be scared by H&S or Data Protection, we had a very scary moment where we were offered a free H&S inspection. You always think the worst, but we took them up on the offer, (it was thru business link) never had l met such a nice and informative person. He told us all about leaving documents about the office, even to the point of telling us to move the computer screens so customers could not see other peoples details. He offered help to make sure people were safe on our site But most importantly he said "l'm not just here to right the wrongs, l'm here to help ensure things don't go wrong in the first place, to help small, large & new business's stay on the right track". He also informed us of public liability., they provide help with risk assesments, even going on site and showing you. Personally l was gobsmacked! I expected shirt & tie doing his worst. It may be worth a try.
regards
jan
