Title: Marketing investment
Post by: jasonl on July 25, 2010, 10:56:11 pm
I was irritated with the American style yee ha , ,whoop whoop  style of marketing advice offered daily via email . This led me to search for an english alternative as I felt the need to have more effective marketing in a British style. Many companies wanted to charge 5k min to carry out a review and  design a plan for me.

While none of us would  dream of not investing in fuel to carry out our work , lots of us do not invest in marketing.

I used the services of Andrew Kinnard , at fresh ideas marketing , for £325 he wrote a very nice report on my business ,which formed a marketing plan . He then did some other work , and mentored me . he wrote some really effective sales letters at £45 each , and some other things too, which I will not divulge here. If anyone is in need of a marketing kick start ,I can not recommend this company highly enough.  www.freshideasmarketing.co.uk

If you don't mind me asking, what are your test results like (response rates etc)?

250 letters to lettings agents resulted in 6 calls , 3 of them requesting information pack I offer , eg proof of insurance training , price tariff etc.  It has only been sent for 5 days so maybe I will hear more .
Plus it is part of a campaign plan, so  I expect more in the future.

So , get over a hundred quids worth in and you are in profit? Not bad.

Too many people worry about percentage return instead of return on investment.

You can also get some good marketing help from business link, I had a marketing adviser meet me with me a few weeks ago to do with a new business I started recently , she wrote me a business plan, supplied a load of leads for me and booked me up for web marketing seminar. On the strength of her advice I secured a contract  the end of that same week.

And the best part it was all free. You also get ongoing support and resources emailed to you.

Well worth a look
regards
steve

Do a search on Chris Cardell, he 'gives away' an audio cd set and the stuff on there is pretty damn good. You know he's going to try and sign you up on a monthly continuity but that's your choice.

Don't go near Chris Cardell, I subscribed to his e-mails 5 years ago.

I don't even use this particular e-mail address anymore but I can still access it. He must send 10 e-mails a month to it.

Relentless.

Has anyone tried www.nabo.biz
I booked onto a seminar in Aug in Buckinghamshire

Is it worth a 5 am start?

Think its very expensive judging by Colored Marketing Magazine and books I have received.

Its not expensive IF it works for ME

BUt big Quetion mark IF and ME

I also think a lot of it can be found in Paul F Gormans BOOK

Like the idea of creative person for letters etc.

Shaun Ashmore now I have found Paul F Gormans book again its the one which has a Sales Letter that boasted a Dry Cleaning Shops business

One for Falt Roofs

One for Resturants

not one for cleaners
Got writers block

Headline that Sells

Headline that Sells
Headline that Sells

I hate doing it the hard way ;D ;D ;D
