Just taken delivery of a new Airflex Turbo and it's a bugger to get in and out of my van (old style mazda with a raised floor).
So I'm looking at running it from the van. Has anyone got photos of their set-ups to give me some ideas.
-
Sorry Steve I run a TM, wish it were potable as the prowler ;)
-
I ran my scorpion from these bane tanks, they look a bit different now
best thing is no stopping to fill and empty, and the waste tank on your machine never draws in more than a pint or two , keeping your motors free from fluff and waste,
-
Not mine,but good idea.
-
Auto fill and auto dump.
Not seen them in action but is an obvious solution.
Try Nick at Solutions Cornwall or ask on that forum.
Ken Wainwright has a system like Roberts has posted but the 2 tanks are in a frame. Photos are somewhere flying around, if not on here they are on ct

Airflex mount.
-
Is that with auto feed auto dump Robert - cant see any detail.

Couldn't tell you Joe, just a picture I came across.

Some more

Had a pump fitted so can transfer water from the water tank, and thats operated from the small light switch you can see..
Think ken has also got some as he gave me help and advice setting mine up..
good luck
-
Thanks Clinton, I don't need a pump. With the Airflex you just drop the direct feed pipe into any alternative water tank.
-
Your welcome steve, yes thought your new machine had that drop in feed pipe with that model..
-
Steve do you need that ramp back i bought from you as i dont use it if you do you can.
regards
Richard

Nice job Clinton.

I mainly run my airflex from the van, using 2" hose with a whip. It's not 'van mounted' just because I have not got around to fitting a tank as I don't really like cold rinsing. Just a preference. The idea was to get the inline heater from cleansmart and put in a 250L tank, just have not got round to it yet. I'm using 25L containers which I fill with Hot water before I leave. If I need to drop anything in the tank like clearwater rinse or DFC 105 it's easily done.
For any other situation I made a 5ft ramp using a 'ladder' frame which latches onto a piece of angle steel set behind the door latches. Easy to get out when required.

Hi Richard
Does the Airflex fit on that ramp as it's quite a bit bigger than the ninja.
I don't want us both to go to all the trouble of getting it back to me if it's not fit for purpose.
-
Hi Clinton
looks a very smart setup mate, did you do the fit yourself ?
The inside of my van consists of...................oh nothing I just throw everything in. ;D You have inspired me to make some changes to tidy the inside of my van. ( hope me dads not busy ) ;D

Thanks paul
Well my mate did the water pump fitting and did the wiring up to the van for me,got the van ply linned too..
Yes and i keep it tydy as some on here will know when they have been to my house its the same, ocd maybe ;D
-
OCD is fine but RCD is even better. ;D

I have just got the Airflex and use the same method of getting it in the van as i did the Ninja tilt it back get the front wheels in then lift the back in its not that hard and i am a bit of a wimp, for a higher sided van the wheels on the back handles can be used i dont find it much harder than the Ninja
-
As I said James, I've got a raised floor so I can't load it like I did with the Ninja.
I can load it on it's back with the handle wheels, but it's a pain because I have to ensure that it is completely empty of water and remove the dump valve front and protect the waste tank lid.
I must say it's a cracking machine, but it's got a couple of design flaws.
The waste tank lid is flimsy compared to the Ninja and who thought it was a good idea to put the dump valve immediately above the electric cables, plus each time I put my hand in the waste tank to pull out congealed fluff, I dislodge the filter.
Other than that the suction with the 3rd vac is the nuts.
