Denim dye right in middle of wool carpet(prob 80/20),about 1ft sqr.Is there any chance of improving it.I informed them it is likley to be permernent, but have a bad feeling they won't be happy if it does not come out or massively improve. The house is a massive mansion and for the first time ever the owners asked to look through all my docs(insurance, training ect),nothing wrong with that, but like i said i'm worried about there expectations, should i walk.

:-[ Any info from the gurus on here....pretty please.

never done it but if faced with it i would use citrus concentrate prespray then enviro agitation then acid rince, if faded then repeat til no more fade, then microsplitter and bonnet. would never promise total removal but wouldn't charge if it was no better.
i'd certainly have a go though.

Cheers derek.

On Shaun's advice, I used Ultrapak on a wool carpet with denim stains, came up a treat - obviously acid rinse.

Hi,
Are you sure its jean dye on the carpet? Is it proper blue or just a grey patch like soiling?
I would get a written liability waiver and go hell for leather on dye transfer techniques. Red RX cold, rinse. Red RX hot Towel, H2O2, H2O2 ammonia, Bisulphite cold, then hot....
If it doesn't work inquire about the carpet knife solution and sub the work to a fitter who can patch it adding 25%.
Charge for each step and lay out the costs of each process, keep them informed and don't be afraid to charge for things that dont work. Just be honest, people like those who fail trying hard sometimes and if dealt with right will pay.
If it is dye transfer, you prolly wont get it out, but its worth a bash and can earn.
