Title: The Customer is always right ?????????

3 weeks ago I went to quote for a carpet clean - lounge and dining room. The carpets are both sisal with a very tight weave. I explained to the customer that these could not be wet cleaned and offered to clean them with host. Booked job for today. Anyway customer rang me on monday and cancelled as he was going to clean them himself.

Had a call from the customer just now asking if I know of a carpet fitter who can stretch his carpet as he had cleaned them last night and they were now 3 inches away from the skirting.

don't we just love them?????

You don't need 'customers' like that .............. they're not worth it.

I wouldnt have been able to not burst out laughing tbh. There is always a fool who thinks he knows it all, that learns a lesson in life - and he's just learnt his ;D

i would have kept a straight voice and told him you could fit coving to his skirting boards

Lesson learnt for him there but I would of sorted a re-stretch and explained why it had shrunk.

He would have tried to re stretch it himself! D'oh!  ;)
