My dad stopped window cleaning because when he had a burst stomach ulcer he received a pittance in sick pay from the government and couldn't feed the family. He became a postman.
-
Wish I had £71k in the bank to be able to pay all that back. I am obviously not charging enough.
Where do I get my claims forms from?
-
the thing is you know theres more than 71k hes got stuffed away
-
Although it's obviously very wrong what the guy did, I do wish that equal publicity was given about genuine claimants who get refused. The most extreme example I know of (a friend's late stepfather) was actually turned down for disability benefit. He had had both legs amputated due to diabetes.

IIRC, you are also excused National Insurance payments for weeks you can't work. Only about £2.50 a week but might as well have it.
