do u think if u went to a shopping centre and did the usual canvassing stopping people to talk to them nice leaflet display and information board but had sumone or a dummy on the floor with fake blood coming from head with a fallen ladder next too them it could help people realise the dangers and help get u peoples details for a quotes???

The leaflets and info board sound good, but I wouldnt sell the death concept, I would just sell yourself.

nah just been surfing the web and came across bit of a topic on pr just thought bit of blood and gore may emotionally blackmail people into signing up!! i dont drink dave its against my religion ;D ;D ;D just on saturday in cardiff on a stag do im allowed

i have an idea for a publicity stunt.....get down to your local tv station.....you know the ones where the local news comes on at 6.55 and 7.55 etc in the morning and you see live feeds behind the newscaster of the local landmarks like road bridges etc....well here is my idea.......set up your wfp kit outside the window where they are broadcasting from (other side of the security fence would be best ;D)......(be on the phone to someone at home to tell you the news is about to start) it might be quite high so pick a windless day....tie a banner or something with your name to to the inside of the gooseneck of your brush so that the viewers can see your name (HIGH LEVEL WINDOW CLEANERS) etc and after a few seconds clean the window......then dismantle the kit and RUN like the wind back to your van. 8)
you will become famous overnight. 8)

love the news idea. just get ur mrs to record it then post it on uTube for a wider effect

How about instead what you do is go into a shopping centre and tap everyone on the shoulder and ask them if they copied your website (http://www.another place.co.uk/images/smilies/icon_mrgreen.gif)

I don't think the public would get it. The danger exists for the window cleaner not directly to the householder. If you were selling WFP systems then yes that would work, but there is no fear for the public as it is not them going up the ladder.

Next time you do a car boot sale then stick a sign up advertising your self, it works a treat

I know, take a wf pole along and some electric cables (live, obviously) and have a really dead wc lying next to it, and then sell the idea of ladders.

You might get a few people telling you to "p*** off" for frightening their kids.
And you might even get some chancer "accidently" trip over your dead window cleaner with the brain haemorage while on the phone to his "where theres blame,theres a claim solicitor". ;D
