Title: What do you do when you go on holiday.
Post by: Deep Cleaning Solutions on July 19, 2010, 10:16:51 pm: I'm going away for ten days in a few weeks.I did not expect to be this busy so early on with my business,but i'm snowed under.What do you guys do,any tips?.Do i tell them i'm on holiday or to busy to go and qoute.I can't imagine customers being happy waiting 11 or 12 days to be booked in.There's also the problem that my landline numbers are ghost numbers that transfer to my mobile so would probably cost me a small fortune to answer the calls when i'm abroad.I could ask someone to answer calls for me,but i'm not sure i trust anyone to do it.Cheers.

So I'm on divert and answer all calls wether I'm by the side of the pool or not ;D. And depending where you are going I've never found my phone bill too bad. Spain was cheap but Turkey was alot dearer.

I'm always "working away" for a week on a big job.

Came back last Friday from 10 days in France, switched mobile on around 6 pm each evening and replied to messages and missed calls, had left yesterday (Monday) free and did 11 quotes. Now booked up for a fortnight.

she had us booked solid for 3 weeks when we got back ;D

Divert to mobile, leave it in room all day and just
check missed calls when convenient, usually at
tea time and ring back.
Went away for 3 weeks last July/August and booked
loads in while away, people will wait especially this
time of the year.

Give mobile to someone with brains to keep with them night and day , give them £100 on my return .

Post by: M.Acorn on July 20, 2010, 02:49:33 pm: Away soon,will be taking the phone with me,wife only lets me turn it on for 2 hours a day,tell people i can`t do anything,until i am back ,don`t like telling people i am away,with all my addy on everything.i go into the agencies i work for and try and get ahead with stuff !
