Title: Just got back from holiday at St. Ives
Post by: Gordon_Taylor on July 18, 2010, 08:00:49 am
Morning all,

Just got back from St. Ives and I have to say all you boys that live around that neck of the woods are very lucky, it's a beautiful part of the world.

I've never been down that way before but I'm already going to book for next year.

The windows are very clean down there I hear. My mum has just booked a train ticket down there in August. From Paddington, using her OAP discount, £19 each way. You can't say thats expensive.

Funny you should say that Gordon , i was there on holiday a while back , i could not find the campsite any where , then strange as it may seem i drove past Daves vans too !
I had no option but to knock a few doors until i found him .
He was out at the time but his wife jumped in her car and took us to the site , our saviour , we would have still been there now if it wasnt for Mrs Morris !

We went to riviere sands (haven) Hayle , it was ok but the entertainment was poor , but it was a £9.50 special from the SUN !
Ironic thing was it was only 2 minutes away from Daves house , i got so bored at one point i popped down Daves for a coffee , we took a stroll around his estate , then we checked out his collection of Ferraris !      ;D ;D ;D

It's a part of the world I've visited a few times now - though not recently.  I was fortunate to have friends who used to live in Hayle and there was always a place to doss down if I wanted to stay awhile.
I will visit again one day.

I know the Rich,

we had friends that went there the week before we went to cornwall, they said the same as you.
The place we went to was very good right on the beach with two different bars with family rooms entertainment every night, well please.
