Hi

We have found using a steam gun with citrus gel and a bit of agitation from a blunt knife ,and cloth to blot at the end of the process, works well on blu tac and I would assume with playdough as well. The steam  gun we use is the white handheld prochem one although I think other people sell it under their own names as well.

Regards

Eddie

I don't use citrus gel myself but I think you are on the right lines.

Blu-tack is a b*****d - does what it says on the tin by sticking to things.  I use solvent gels and a bone scrapper (with caution) but whatever method is used, be careful about damaging the fibres or creating pile distaortion.

I would agree with eddies post on the steam gun

chewing gum / blue tack / some glues/ playdough

solvall / citrus gel / citra concentrate

check backing of course

Hi Paul,

Any of the above or white spirit. Cheap alternative but works well. Check for bitumen backed carpets / tiles and use sparingly if so.

All the best,
Jason.
