Yep me too in Oxfordshire. Gutted as my van broke down last tuesday. I had to wait a week for a part to come into Renault then a day to fit it so just picked van up this morning. Forecast to rain tomorrow too. I can work on mon and tues next week but then off to Italy til the end of the month.
Will be so far behind!!!

Yeh, rained off.  It looks nice out there now, but it'll be chucking down again in ten minutes.

I think I'll go and abuse myself!

Bored!

I carried on, but I had some huge velux windows to do and they were the first I'd done. Every time I turned them back, the water poured down leaving runs.  :-[

Although not working yet i was wondering how many would still be cleaning today. this was one thing that worried me about starting up, can you still get a regular income in winter when it generally rains most of the time?

The sad answer is that some carry on regardless, and annoy their customers, but the rest of stop work and pray for sunshine.

why would it annoy customers doing there windows surely its better than having to call them and say sorry cant do them today because of whether be round when the weather eases off.

There was only the odd light shower here but it was pretty windy.  I had mostly commercial bits and pieces to do today anyway plus an inside clean.

Heavy rain in Kent a.m - worked through it with all customer's approvals.  My customers know my work is guaranteed and that I will come back if job not satifactory.  Don't mind getting wet in the summer.

Had one mighty gust of wind and heard stuff flying everywhere - it had also picked up the rain and it was like buckets being emptied - all over in seconds but caused a bit of 'excitement'  ;D

I work in light rain/showers/looking like rain or a monsson and tell all customers this.  If they are not happy with any of the windows I will go back and reclean.  As yet no one has took the pee.  First for everything I suppose./

Totally torrential rain at 3am here this morning.  Car alarms going off etc.  Madness, stair rods type rain.
