iv taken the decision that if anybody asks about fixing a bit of gutter etc , that these jobs are my cream ,i will milk these for all they are worth.  not 100s of pounds or true fleecing, but just a decent earner to do the job right with new brackets and what have you

are you insured to fix gutters ?

I had to add that on my insurance policy, nothing worse than touching a gutter for it to come crashing down on someones new conservatory roof/ or car.

ah ,thats a very good point , im going to backpeddle on what i just said and refuse to do em. i already refused a "5 minute paint touch up on pebbledash " job and a "making a new doorstep "job, best i refuse point blank all those sideliner jobs .im a good refuser so  hope dont get tempted by what may seem to be "big cat cream "

most of you when you get a full round will not want to do these" extra " jobs as it gets in the way of the cleaning!

im a window cleaner who can wash the conny roof/fascias/soffits/outside gutters etc and can provide a full valet service for the outside of anyones property but thats it!

NO gutter cleaning(emptying all the crap out)!

NO painting and decorating!

NO grass cutting!

NO fixing gutters!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

fully agree with dazmond, i have a full round so cant do all the side liners. The only thing i add on  now is caravan wash which is to good money to refuse.
So i do wndows, upvc, connis, caravans, internal windows, and shop signage.

Dont even clean out gutters anymore now ladders have gone

I did a gutter clear out, fascia and gutter/soffits/barge boards and cladding clean and windows (one off) yesterday. It was ok as it was raining so meant I could still earn. But I think I will be turning down gutter clean out from now on, I felt quite unsafe on some of the awkward ones. Its pretty good money but I really do not enjoy doing any of the add ons including conny roofs.

Pressure washing earns me much much much more money than window cleaning but I only do this when its raining so hard I cant clean windows. I only get around 10 jobs a year tho. Its the same with gutter cleaning. There is big money to be earned out there.

hi bob do you advertise that you do pressure washing or is it just work you pick up from your window cleaning customers ?
do you think you could pick up more pressue washing work if wanted ?

          cheers dave

I dont advertise anywhere other than the van and my website. Most of my pressure washing work is through my regular customers and Im not really sure if I could get more if I wanted to. But with better advertising.....who knows?

Most people have a pressure washer and are happy to spend a weekend on it but  the ones I get, tell me they havnt got the time. I easily make £60-£80 per hours and sometimes more.

Hope that helps
Bob
