Post by: paul b 1965 on July 12, 2010, 12:54:27 pm
Hi

does anyone have a tip for deodorising an old mens toliet with urinal that has been not cleaned to a good stnd for prob a year, and so there is an ingrained smell. Other than replacing all the fittings and fixtures!

Give the urinal a really good descale either with One Shot (available in B&Q or with TD10 from Premiere Products. Then maintain with Premiere Products Freshaloo.  You could also help to reduce the odours with Bio Blocks fron Bio Productions, they dissolve the uric salts and have a pleasant odour.

Hi

Selden do a good product for washrooms (smells of Pears)

Or a cheap but very effective method

BIO LOGICAL PERSIL!!!

Dilute a capful to 500ml and spray liberally over the entire area and leave, rinse and clean about 20-30 mins later

For the hole in the urinal

bi-carbonate of soda, 1 tablespoon, followed by a third of a bottle of white viegar (costs less than a £1 for both) non toxic

Happy days  ;)

hi there

take the trap off the bottom of the urinal, and clean it out, if it hasnt been done for a long time then it could well be completely furred up.
