Hi guys!
I´m buying a new Berlingo with 800kg payload. It´s the long version, that are 2,05m long in the back.
I´m also buying this hot water system from purefreedom.
But i dont know what kind of size I shoud have on the water tank?
500l og 650l ?
Upright or flat ?

There isn't much difference between 500 and 650 - maybe an extra 4 or 5 jobs. So it all depends on how much window cleaning you do in a standard day. If I work alone I find my 500 litre tank is adequate but with 2 men working off one tank it usually requires refilling after about 4-5 hours of cleaning.

650l with an 800kg payload will be too much probably.
-
650L + tank + cage = around 700kg easily probably more
Then add on a hot water system, gas cylinder, di tanks full of water, a hose reel full of water, ladders
40l of fuel, a driver and maybe a passenger plus all your poles and trad gear and a leisure battery.

There's no "probably" about it!
You'll still be over whether you have a good turnout in the morning or not!

650 tank in that van would be huge surely? Mind you aint seen the newer ones, but i know my shape wouldnt take that size, i had 400 in mine
Go for 500, i work on my own most days now and usually use about 300l and i have water tonking out...i am really good though

650 would be far too much and you might even be pushing it with a 500. Ask purefreedom they should know. Ionic reckon with their hot system a 600 litre tank weighs 800 kg and they say you need a payload of 1200kg for that. Their 300 litre thermopure requires a 800kg payload.

Hi
My son has a 52 plate Peugeot Partner with an 800kg payload. He has a 500 litre tank fitted which will see him through the day. With all the extras; hose & reel, brushes, leisure battery, tank itself and brackets, ladders with full tank of fuel he is just under the limit on his own.
He can't have a passenger.

Thanks guys for lots of good information about what kind of water tank I should install in the car.
I will go for a 500L tank then. Its better to be on the safe side :)
Thanks again guys ;D

Go for a flat baffle tank Ola :)

i wouldnt even put a 500L tank in a 800kg van!400L MAX i would say.taking into consideration your weight, all your trad gear and tank frame, passengers etc.
you dont want to be just under the weight either as it puts a lot of strain on suspension etc.
i have a kangoo (625kg payload)and carry no more than 300L.Ibet after weight of trolley,me,trad gear etc id be 100kg under but it still feels heavy when driving with a full load!!

daz, what the fuel economy like when full?

500 ltr would be about the limit, doesn't mean you have to fill it to brim every day though
