Title: what to soak oven trays in?
Post by: Adam P on July 05, 2010, 11:29:47 pm
the place i've just moved into has really dirty oven trays. rather then spending an evening scratching away at them would be nice if i could leave them for a few days soaking in something so that the dirt easily breaks off. any suggestion what i should try?

Noticed you offer oven cleaning on your website, what would you normally use   ??? ;D

Personally I soak them in a diluted caustic soda, after an hour or two a quick rub with a wire brush and they come up like new.
Just make sure you do it in a well ventilated area (preferably outside) and wear appropriate PPE. You don't wanna get it on your skin.

if you want to avoid the caustic, Any good de-greaser, in a tub with hot water will do tyhe trick, just give them a scrub with wire wool in hot soapy water after a soak.
