A not too sure what you mean about which one. I have 2 and the only difference is that 1 has a bit that through the belt and has a snap connector so you can clip the boab on or off.
The other 1 has a loop that goes around the belt and can only be taken off by unclipping the whole thing.

I orefer the 1st type cos its easier to clip on and off.

ive got the pulex . fold the belt loop down behind the boab and tie it off and this perches the boab higher on your belt ,+ no swinging

ive cut mine about a bit

Hi anthony
I used the clip on one as you can leave your pouches on and unclip the bucket and jump in and drive off. The BOAB has one for the applicator and three squeegee holder.

Big decision Anthony, you’re in charge now and it is tough at the top.

Good luck.  ::)

Ignore Richard cranium above.

The ettorre side kick is the one I prefere as I only use flippers & a porcupine. both of which fit in better & it's a quick release clip. This is the black one.

The green unger (the one without white writing on it) is also good & better suited to bigger applicators. It can hold 2 squeegees & a scraper too, although the scraper will rust in it. It has a wider top than the ettore so thicker applicators will go in better without scraping the sides & wetting your leg.

Hope that helps. ;)

Ewan, he is asking how best to kit himself out with trad kit. He asked a specific question, didn't ask for the pre-sermon.
What's the point of being condescending?? Even if you claim it was done tongue in cheek, there is no hint of it to anyone else.

We use Unger mate, clips on your belt easy and the Ettore one is good too. Do yourself a favour though and don't use it as a bucket!!! Wet leg syndrome. Also, never listen to guys who work for National Car Parks who have read lots of stuff about how to be a window cleaner. :) People who work for WFP suppliers will give you duff information and mess you about and also take the mick because you are trad and don't buy their gear.

I use the Ettore Sidekick. It set higher on my hip than the Pulex despite being detachable.

Just because its called a bucket on a belt doesn't mean you have to fill it up with water. Its just a holster really

Well I guess everyone has their own methods of working but I would say rinse out and get your applicator ready from your main bucket then just use it as a waterproof holster.

Trying to carry a quantity of water round in it never worked for me. Others may have a different view.

I use the pulex one, it holds 1 applicator and 3 squeegees, dont tie it to your leg. lol
I did this when I first bought it and as soon as I started to climb the ladder the excess water dripped all down my leg, this was in the winter.
I would certainly buy the one with the snap connector though.

started with ettore sidekicks, they fill with water and have no drainoff so after a while the blade holder fills with water, I ened up drilling mine and plugging it, till I saw the unger one without writting on side.

most of the trad stuff we use now is unger, ettore seem to be stuck in coming up with new stuff. Unger by far IMO are the best to go for.

I drilled a hole through where you put in the blade straight into the where the water and applicator was, I filled (plugged) the hole as I was getting a wet enough leg on the out side of the boab.

When I changed over a couple of years after I never again bought them from ettore as I felt they was not fit for the job I wanted to do and I shouldnt have to drill holes in new things. I think the blue pulex ones are the same as I had a blue one after the ettore ones same thing althought that held 2 blades applicator and scrapper..

Unger IMO is the best buy hands down

Hi all, I am getting  the message that Unger seem to be the most popular Boab,Allthough the Ettore Boab has caught my eye, partly because I have other products made by them {Squeegees are brill, and Tbars,Covers}and also and you will think this a bit sad,it is the best looking Boab, :-[,allthough I know that the issue here is about performance and not style. :-\Anyway Cheers all,Best wishes Ant. 8)
