Title: Help with stain removal

Just had a call from a lady who dropped a small tub of double cream on a brown synthetic carpet,she's put white vinegar on it and scrubbed it and is now left with a bad smell and when she rubs her finger on the stain has white fluid coming to the surface.Whats best way to tackle this please.

My experience of stain removals is quite limited,I had thought of a good rinse with cold water and then applying stain pro,Is this correct

suck it and see. in other words a damn good flush and maybe some clensan.

Double cream will have a high percentage of fat in it.

I would give it a good rinse with water until nothing comes out. Then use a solvent and rinse that. This may require several goes. It needs to be worked into the pile to get at the bottom where the cream has soaked and been pushed in by madam. Be careful not to scrub the pile too much and damage it. Then use a plain detergent to get the remains of the solvent and then use an antibacterial to get at what is left to prevent further smells.
