So wfp is a health risk

"potential for the spread of legionella disease caused by poorly maintained filter systems."

only if you dont maintain your filters etc but no different than going into a shop with air conditioning and them not servicing their installations.

legionella disease

Have to point out, that it would need to take more than not changing the filters, there is a number of things, it would need a high tempture for this type of bacteria to form, so the best advice would be dont leve your un service vans in the heat of the summer, when you are on your hols for 2 weeks, again must point out there has been not one case of this from when WFP come on the market in 1997.

Graham,

What's that other disease you can get from pure water?  I can't remember?  But I remember I offered you a vaccine that tasted like orange juice - cost £100 - but I guaranteed you'd never get it?

It's the one where you get it if you drink water contaminated with rat's urine.  Whatsis name?

i store my water in 25 L barrels and even on the Hottest day, the water in them is COLD, i even get condensation on them, it was 28 outside according to my car temp gauge and the water was still cold, i mean cold aswell

it must take a fair bit of heat to heat up a block of 25 L water

ATTENTION FELLOW CLEANERS (clears throte)

it appears i owe all the wfp guys a big big apology :-*...

in the thread "will wfp kill our trade" i said that the advent of the wfp will in turn make the job more accessable to the public and therefore we will see a large increase in window cleaners wich will influx a big price drop...

BUT! i was wrong i admit it... due to this new evidence there will be LESS window cleaners and prices will sore!!!! long live TRAD!!!!  ;D ;D

P.s jut a friendly joke guys no mallace meant ;)

rest in peace ....... i mean ..... ahhh see ya latter :D

poleman.......

thats a tough question... i said in the "will WFP kill our traders" thread :) im not in the WFP hate gang the WFP would not be as popular as it is now if it didnt clean windows, BUT i just have this thing in my head that says "how can you be sure you have cleaned it if you cannot see it" then there is the time thing, learning how to use the damn thing, i mean im hearing stories of people cleaning with WFP then fetching the ladder off the motor to get on this roof and do that.... it just seems a bit to much hasle pipes everwere and wot-not.... i know on the other end of the stick you guys have said you havent had to take the ladder off the car for like 3 weeks with the WFP...

ok ok you got me its doing the extra windows above conservatorys  :( :'( :'( :-[ :-X i just could not handle that doing extra windows thing .....HAHAHA only kidding but no  really it just seems to much hassle and the worry of loosing customers to it... it takes times to build up a GOOD round and im very funny about anything destroying that as it feeds me and my kids every night...

but no im not a WFP HATE member... i supose it just boils down to gutts... but i would rather have £££ :D

I see ;)

I have been cleaning windows with a ladder for 16 years and thought the same as you, but would never go back, my business went thou the roof as we was twice as fast and took on lots more work.

I am sure your never say never?

maybe you should go out for the day with a WFP user local to you.

eeeeeeeerrrrrrr sorry poleman but i know of several who havnt stuck it out round here with wfp. Went back to ladders cos couldnt handle the time it took or the lost customers. It doesnt work on all windows which is the hassle i will have, but im going to get a trolley system soon cos i dont like thinking im not fitting in with the law. Hope my 17 yr round and my income doesnt suffer  ::)

What Andy says here is so important - it is the key to changing your customers over - tell 'em in writing before you do it - tell 'em when you do it and tell 'em firmly and politely you ain't going back.

Your post is exactly how i felt before the changeover.
I`m not a 100% WFP worker. Probably 80% pole 20 trad.

Having just started with WFP myself I got to thinking, if all the anti WFP guys are right then people will soon be beating a path to their door.
If traditional wc is so superior then they will be able to offer a premium service for top dollar prices. I wouldn't hold my breath though. DAI
