Post by: Jason Ryan on July 01, 2010, 06:52:39 pm
Got a wool carpet coming up (white :() which is quite clean and only needs a freshen up. BUT there are two stains that aint promising.

1)Cooking oil (sunflower i think) which has been cleaned up using the good old vanish but there a mark there......and its 2 years old.

2) Small-ish Calpol  Stain(kids medicene)- again vanish been used.

Done some tests and aint seem like ill have any joy, explaine to client and they understand. Just wana know if anyone got any ideas, partial removal be something.

Cheers

J

For pink Calpol I have had 100% success with Nemisis or M-Power - I dont think they had client trying anything beforehand though.

Calpol usually rinses out with hot water sometimes a little solvent as it's sticky with all of the sugar in it.

Simular with cooking oil.
