I just want to remind myself who was from Wiltshire, I had a contact from here a while back and can't remember who he was, I was hoping he might have popped up.
funnily enough some piddling shop fronts might be involved lol

Im totally fed up of those tiny shop fronts Dave , by the way thanks for paying my mortgage again this month !
Keep it coming ;D
That last minute job turned into a nightmare , i was in on the high display windows for a fair while ,until 11 pm in fact , then in again at 5.30 am for the cafe, escalators , balistrades, internal displays, stainless cleaning , dusting , tape scraping , the list goes on , and on , and on and on , i left at mid day !
Dont worry though , im only gonna hit you for £5 more than the tesco job in total , i told the manager that none of the above work was in the specs and i was not going to bother you for the go ahead , he then offered me copious ammounts of 2 can dine for £10 meals , im not shopping this week to put it in short ;D
Hope this is ok , he was over the moon with the work , even gave me a hand shake of sheer power !
With any luck word will get round and youll land more of the stores !

Here we go , another muppet with a mere 17 posts tellin me im a mug for doing nationals, smell the coffee , when we get another winter like last year i will be paying the bills and you my friend will be going under , its all about balance, too much commercial can kill you , too much domestic can kill you , find the right balance and your sorted , i have learnt this , you obviously have not , after all your still asking what the best way to clean a brick is ;D
Not like me to get nasty , but im too old to be told how to suck eggs , i have a job going if you should need it JWC

No offence but with that post you are the one sounding like a bell end ;) Did he hit a raw nerve or something. Re read your post then read the comment they made - You will be the mug if they don't pay out for the out of spec work. Seriously there was no need for that response, oh and no one said you will be are a mug for doing Nationals - you have just put those words in his mouth CIU at is best LOL ::)

P@f always gets paid, in fact he gets paid on the nail as soon as his invoice lands, I have to wait for about 4 months for my money but thats another matter.

WCE , no raw nerves here , your comment on not getting paid for the out of spec work did not make sense , i did get paid , maybe not in cash terms , but as i said i got a bonus in another way , the money will be saved on my shopping bill today !
The options would have been to ring Dave at stupid o clock , he would have to ring his people for clearance then ring me back with go or no go , the way i worked it was good for me , saved Dave the extra calls , and the job was finished sooner ,
The manager was made up , i was happy with what i got , and Dave saved the possibilty of maybe paying me from his own pocket in order to keep it all sweet.
Therefore i cant be a bell end , i just showed a little business sense .

Oh , and i did forget to mention , when i said all of the above work was not in the specs , i should have put only the dusting , tape scraping , stainless cleaning , all the rest was in specs , sorry for the confusion .
