Squeaky tried to get off with Ian's girlfriend in Weatherspoons after he'd had two pints of lager shandy and Ian got a 'monk on'.

No, I was only joking!  Their argument was far more mundane than all that.

Have you got your water situation sorted Roger? I have had to resort to using a trailer as the van I bought in April blew its engine and I dont have the sort of money for a replacement! I dont have a drive so my neighbour has offered to let me put it on her's. I now clean her windows gratis, not that she wanted me to but I hate just asking for 'Favours'.

Point is, do you have a good customer who would let you fill up, or even someone on your road who might help out.

I have had to adapt how I work and while it's been a pain I'm still earning.

You adapted well when your neck was bad (?), looks like you will have to again.

Hope you get sorted.

And if he doesn't, I know where to canvas!

(You should always look for the silver lining)

Actually I was thinking of expanding operations (a la DMSI) into another country; do you think Squeaky's stuff on the Bulwark estate might be up for grabs? Nice area that ... bit like our Southmead (as seen on Panorama) estate in Bristol.

Bulwark rough?  Wot a larf!  80% of Chepstow live in Bulwark, but it's not rough; maybe Bluebell Drive and Lord Eldon (both social housing), but the rest is just average 60s ex council houses or older.

There's no real rough places around Chepstow.

Cheers Stuart.
Nothing sorted yet, but got a few phone calls to make, so hopefully get something or at least be pointed in the right direction.
Think it can be done here somehow, but it won't be straightforward...

If I really believed you maybe I would...
But lets be honest, even if you did mean it, you're too far away anyway.
If sincere then thanks anyway.

Albert, you can't expect a person to go all that way to let you help him. That's a bit far fetched. That's about one and a half hours drive for God's sake.

That, my friend, is called 'life'!

Did I ever tell you what the Buddha said about it?  He said life moves like a 'wonky wheel' (where the axle is off-centre).

That's certainly been my experience!  ;D

Don´t know what has gone before as I´m away in Spain, but it was a slight falling out over costings, hence time for Roger to take on full responsibility for his own water supply.

Ian.

Costs  :o

Didn't rog pay ONLY £5 per week for all his water???

Wish I paid that little. As I stated in an earlier post....free water all week has got to be worth a score a week at least  ???

If I have got the £5 wrong rog then i apologize :-X

My water bill last year was over £800 so I wouldnt mind paying a fiver a week ::)

My metered supply (only for merlin RO) is currently working out at close to £30 a month.  That's with a restrictor on the waste.  Resin costs are higher than they would normally be with an RO due to the restrictor as I'm getting TDS after the RO in the high 20s.  Possibly another £30 a month on resin though I've not costed it exactly.  Then there are membrane and pre-filter replacements.  So about £60 a month for a sole trader plus membranes/pre-filters.  I realise that's higher than most due to it being a merlin.  So a score a week would be a great deal never mind a fiver.

i think ian has done you a great favour over the last few years squeaky and if i was you i would either pay him properly for the water(say £20 a week)or find a way to produce water yourself.

me personally i wouldnt of even started wfp if i had to rely on other people for water.

you surely knew this day was coming.i would of felt guilty relying on someone elses kindness for so long!! :-\

dazmond

Just leave him alone now will you all, I'm sure he will figure something out. Cyber bullying is not pleasant to watch.

Rog only started WFPing due to injury and Ian helped him out. He's not had an easy time recently by all accounts and the last thing he needs is to be vilified on here yet again.
