Title: Client Tries Stain Removal
Post by: Joe H on June 28, 2010, 02:16:49 pm
Well, we have had them trying the 1001, Vanish and Astonish but this morning beat hem all.

Off white bedroom carpet in a lovely posh bungalow.
Around the dressing table area were white patches in the carpet.
Upon enquiring, was told "It will be make up and baby oil".
"Have you tried cleaning it with anything" says I.
"Cillit Bang" was the reply.
Yikes!

After I explained she had more then likely bleached the carpet, she says "well give it a go, see what you can do".
Well, I cleaned the carpet, got rid of the "dirty" areas, and bits of makeup elsewhere, but the white patches still there.
She looked disappointed, so I said "If Cillit Bang say you can clean carpets with their product and you followed their instructions, you can make a claim against them".
She had to admit to herself that she should not have used Cillit Bang.  Doh!

Some people live and learn the hard way.

We had a lady who tried to remove a tea stain with Domestos. She made a cracking job, removed every trace of it ;D
