Clean It Up

We've been asked to quote for a uPVC clean on a bungalow. We will be using a proper uPVC cleaner, any idea what would be a fair price per average size window? The windows are not heavily stained just average dirt and bit of grime. Is it ok to use a kitchen scourer, the ones with sponge on the back and would a used one be better as they won't be so abrasive? Any other tips would be useful.
Cheers all

HI Steve
You shouldn't need to use a scourer and if you do use one, do a small test area. If you scratch the frames (this may not even be visible), they will get dirty very quick and make it even harder to clean the next time around.
I charge from £15 per frame upwards, depending on how dirty they are.
Hope this helps

Hi Andrew
Thanks for your reply. Did a test area for a customer with a used scourer which had almost lost its abrasion, the area came up really well. Do you find cloths a more effective alternative?

Hi Steve,
Yes I do, I use lint free cloths on upvc frames, the very odd occasion, and I may even use a baby sponge.
