Title: Big boys!!!
Post by: mlscontractcleaner on June 25, 2010, 05:21:08 pm
I had a thought this morning; I've never seen any of the really serious players in the Plymouth window cleaning world on this site. We have a couple of very successful lads who have a lot of the more prestigous - is that how you spell it? - contracts and they're never on here. Do you think that's their secret ???

Whilst we're on here debating the wfp v trad argument, bragging about takings and generally talking twaddle these guys are out running their business, making more money and winning more contracts.

Just a thought ;)

There not interested in saving a few pounds making a wfp out of a Harris decorating pole or buying Bentley brushes from supermarkets.  ::)

Dont knock it

It tells you that they earn enough money not to have to scrimp for cheapo equipment, nor do they convert fishing poles in to wfp.

We're not a big company, more medium sized, but we use decent gear and it does pay off in the long run.

But back to my original post, I just reckon that the "big boys" don't bother with a forum like this as there's nothing at all on here that could possibly be of any benefit to their business; and they don't need to go on an ego trip by boasting about their takings or how many houses they can clean in a day :)

thats why i decided on a proper trolley from pure freedom.itll pay me back tenfold!and its a very good pro piece of equipment!

BUT!!ewan if you ve not seen waggas videos on converting a shopping trolley into a trolley with a backpack on then its a must see!!i think hes really funny!!ive been howling with laughter at this guy!!

he cant help himself HE HAS TO MODIFY EVERYTHING HE GETS!!!!a great british eccentric guy and i love him!!

BUT ill stick to the best equipment i can afford!!

lets not get snobby though ewan i bet its not long ago if you search inside your head where you just had a scrim and a old ladder!! ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D

When your starting up you need to ask questions to build your confidence and push you on. The sites great for this.

Once your experienced i think your own business instincts take over and your find the level of work and stress that you want. I dont think when your at this stage you need the help but to pass of encouragement to the starters.

There are plenty of ARS**OLES on this forum though and when they become addicted and rely on the site it becomes pathetic
