Hi
I've got a bog standard 2 jet wand that does me just great, here is a link (first one on the page) http://www.cleansmartsupplies.co.uk/acatalog/Carpet_Cleaning_Wands.html
Anyways, for the last 3 days i have been having some troubles with it! >:(
Basicaly, if i set pressure to anything above 110 psi, there is a jolt and there is no spray coming out of the jets! But the pump does carry on working.
I have tried all my hand tools and stair tool and they all work fine on full pressure.
Another thing which i find strange is, if i keep the trigger held down before i turn on the pump the higher pressures are achived! until i stop "wanding" for a couple of seconds then the "jolt" happens :(
Now, when this started happening i changed the jets (they where 7 months old) and also had a valve repair kit kicking about so used that! and this didn't make a differance.
I contact Matt at cleansmart and he siad it'll be the male quick connect (that you attch the soluation line to) i fitted this on today but the bloody thing still "jolts" :( poo
Does anyone have any ideas?? this has never happend to me before. I took the whole valve system apart yestarday night, not sure what i was looking for but its still being a pest >:(
p.s. there doesn't seem to be a filter thing on the wand either...
thanks in advance

hi tony
take out the jets then pullout the filters , there's one for each jet, they may be blocked, if this doesn't work i would say you need a new solution valve fitted to the wand. £17.95

My first thought was the filters behind the jets so check them 1st. With the jets taken out press the trigger if water flows then you know it was the filters and or jets. If that doesnt work, take the hose off the joins the trigger assembly to the jets. Then with press the trigger with your machine pump turned on and see if any water comes from the trigger assembly where the hose was connected. If no water then its the trigger assembly.

Hi
thanks for the repleys. Its defo not the filters as the wand doesn't have any. The jets just screw into the wand and the problem was happening before i put the new jets in a few days ago.
I have a funny feeling in might be the male connector on the soluation line. The wee nozzle is kinda half in half out! and drips water... But how come this effects the wand but not the hand tools and stair tool i have been trying??
Anyone?
thanks

Tony, you say you had a repair kit lying around. Was that not just for a Kingston valve. If it was it may not be suitable for that wand as it has a soft touch valve which Westpac fit.
This may help:

Hey John
No, it was defo a repair kit for westpak soft touch valve mate. Matt himself sent me it. (i like to have a few wee spares for emergencies)
I bought a kingston valve from you a few months ago but that was for my other wand for my steam pro (back up machine)
Thats a good link that, might just email westpak through thier blog to see what they think??
Its a right head scracher, surely must be the wand or could it be the soluation line/male cconnector on the soluation line :-\
p.s. thanks for calling me back the other day :)
