Phil, when you changed the resin this morning did it bring your reading down to zero? If not and you had the high reading, then take the cartridge out and make sure it is seated properly, and put it back in again. If it was low straight after the change and worked its way up, then it was just a case of you producing the right amount of water, for the amount of DI you have, with quite a high RO output reading.

Peter, are you saying you can recondition his membranes?
If so and it is free of charge, how do you recondition them?
-
Mark I am working on it. I have successfully reconditioned a few sets up until now, and just wanted a couple more to make sure everything is going to plan.
I will have a kit shortly for sending out to people wanting to do it themselves, It will also be very beneficial as a maintenance procedure where you will condition them say every year or so, which will keep the membranes running with the lowest possible output reading, and maximum production rate.
Should save quite a bit of money especially for people running 40/40 membranes.
I am not ready yet to answer the questions some may have, as I don't have all the answers.

thanks 4 the offer pete but what can i do while ive got no membranes how long will it take to re con them i can pinch a few hundred litres of a mate but that will only keep me going 1 -2 days at most

Don't you have a storage tank?
If you send them after work Monday and I get them Tuesday morning, you could have them back by Wednesday morning. Well depending on the postal service.
I would think it will work fine, but if not you have nothing to loose as they need replaced the way they are just now.

You just cant help some people Pete.
You can willingly have mine. On Tuesday I am replacing 3 x150 a day membranes that you can have to play with. I will not need them back quickly as I have a spare set. I don't even mind if you muck them up so they can not be used again, just so long as it helps you.
Let me know

Hi Lee, that would be good. What is the reading on them, and how old are they?

Hi Pete,
Thanks, there are three 150 per day. I alway run off before it goes through the resin, and it takes a fair while too get to 13ppm from 350 tap.
I tested the middle one and it was reading 20ppm
They are about 10 months old and are flushed regularly.
The ro system is about 4 years old and is quite dirty in the casings
