here's a photo of some dog wee stains that have been treated with vanish, never seen it have such an adverse effect before.
some stain went untreated and never suffered this bleaching effect so it must be a combination of the wee + vanish

Customer's never believe me when I tell them the effects Vanish can have.... That's a very good illustration Mike. That picture would be good on your web site to promote the benefits of getting a professional in to do the job.... ;)

the right colour dye sticks and youve got a customer for life ;)

Had a similar situation with spray tan a few years ago. Unfortunately didn't have the foresight to take a pic. ::)
Customer treated a small area in the centre of a stain probably 3 ft sq before realising it was doing nothing.
Got all of it out except the vanish treated area.
Didn't find out until the end when I showed her the patch, "Oh that's where I used vanish"

I've been using dye sticks for about a year and it's hard work to get a great match although you can make it look better, they are cheap to buy and nothing can go wrong IMO you need alot of different shades.

where dya get em from shauny bouy?
-
I bought them from Amazon but I've just looked and they aren't selling them anymore, Paul Pearce has used crayola, all you need is a hair drier (no offence Derek) and a comb(again no offence Derek), heat the fibres or crayon and colour away then comb into fibres then colour again from a different angle as you only get the colour on one side of the fibre, the combing stops it from getting 'gloopy' (that's a technical phrase)

crayola stick there made of wax!!!! surely thats a temp measure, i want the dye sticks to actually dye the carpet permenently.
bald an proud shaun, no offence taken.

i'm surprised you say that mike, seen loads of carpets like that, customers usually think it will 'wash out',

Baldy when you heat them and then get then coloured you then heat the finished article and it fixes.

I have been banging on about this for years- at last i have most of my regular customers trained not to use it.
The best was cat pee on a navy blue carpet- again by a window. Large light cream patch. Also a cup of coffee on a pale pink carpet 1/2 treated by coustomer 1/2 by me. Mine came out in a minute, hers was permanent with much pile damage.
This is one reason I no longer belong to W**ls**e O*g as they endorse these products and then say the light patch is where the product cleans better than we can!!!

I did a cat pee and vanish job today. Fortunately the customer had call soon after the peeing, (hey that could be a new Stephen King horror, The Peeing with Jack pelson).
Custy had already added vanish and I told her to stop otherwise she said she would have carried on with more and more to get rid of the smell! Anyway I now have a new happy customer.
