Title: how do u change a 4040 ro membrane

i can not seem to get the old one out. ive taken off the white clip at one end but cant seem to unscrew something. do u undo the spindles or all of the black casing any help would be great really annoyed now lol

Just the small centre part with the spindles comes out. They are tight push fit. Try turning it by pressing the spindles and it should help ease it out.

Stick at it, it does screw out but like has been said you are only trying to unscrew the centre piece not the whole end unit.
