Title: Thanks For All Your Help And Goodbye
Post by: Mark@Eco-Powerclean on August 30, 2005, 01:24:43 pm
Hi people. Haven't been on here for a while now as my life has become very hectic over the past couple of months.

I'm no longer carpet cleaning, but have gone back to my old accountancy related business, as I was offered a fantastic business opportunity, which is working out really well.

Anyway, I would like to thank everyone who gave me help when I was just starting out and knew virtually nothing. The Prochem courses were excellent and I'd recommend them to anyone learning the business, but at the end of the day, there's no substitute for experience. The advice I was given on here from people with many years in the business was invaluable, and the business was starting to take off, with very few spare hours in the week.

You're all such a great bunch, and I really enjoyed meeting up with many of you at MK earlier in the year. Thanks to all, but in particular, Nick at Solutions, Paul for giving me a demo of the Eclipse and to Steve at Ecokleen (hope I've spelt it right) for giving me a day's practice down at the epilepsy centre. Oh, and also to Steve Gunn for all the Sunderland/Ipswich ribbing last season. OK, you won, Ipswich lost, but it doesn't really bother me, because I'm not even an Ipswich Town fan. Up the O's (Leyton Orient that is) :-)

I've finally got round to sorting out my equipment, and if anyone's interested, the Eclipse and Super Pad Charly are now listed on ebay at what I think is a very low starting price for each, and with no reserve. If you want to have a look, the item numbers are:-

Eclipse 4402474020
Charly 4402481101

Once again, thanks to all of you for the brilliant advice and general banter on this board, and I sincerely wish you all good health and every success for the future in both your business and personal lives.

Hi Guys,

I too was amazed that anyone would pay such a high price for a second hand machine.

It seems ridiculous when a few hundred quid more and one would have a new machine which would have a warranty as I believe the warranty is often invalidated by selling on.

I believe these machines would be written down by 40 % in the first year for accounting purposes.

Maybe all the Eclipse hype has affected rational thought .

Cheers,

Doug

The eclipse was in excellent condition, yes a second hand machine but looked as if it hadn't been used that much, 50ft of solution and vac & hose, heat exchanger, Sebo Duo, grooming brush, buckets etc and shed loads of chemicals, both ms and detergents so not just the machine.

Enough to get a newbie up and running straight away.

No it wasn't me, I thought it was a high price til I saw what else went with it! although I would have been extremely happy if I was Mark as he got a good price.
