Title: Gardiner vs. Xtel poles
Post by: Ola Normann on June 15, 2010, 03:41:24 pm
Today I use 2 x 35ft Xtel Hybrid with TRAD cleaning, and I really like the opening and closing on the poles.
Its quick and easy.

But soon I will go over to WFP, looking forward to it btw :)

I can see that some of the new Gardiners poles are lighter, but they have other handles for opening and closing.
How are they if you compare them to Xtel Hybrid?

Last thing - I a perfect world, how many and what sizes would you have on the poles?

Gardiners all the way SL and SLX if you can.  SLX 25 or 30 is probably all that most window cleaners will ever need.  However I have an 18, 25 and the SL 45 these cover me for every thing.  The only time I use the 18 is when the wife isn't using it and I don't need a big pole.

Oh I have some xtel poles as well the best being a Hxtel 30, bit of a fib as it's only 28ft, however once you've used the slx for a week or so you just can't go back to the xtels.

You will probably find that you can get 95% of your work done with just the slx 25 at least that's how my round goes, the only reason I got the others is the slx 18 for my wife and the SL 45 for a big job.

I've used both and the Gardiner is far and away the best. The comparison isn't even fair. It's like asking if you'd prefer a VW bug or a Rolls Royce if price was no object.
