Title: Solutions Fusion Clean
Post by: richie on June 15, 2010, 09:36:38 am
I have worked with this chemical with bonnet sysytem now on many sites. Personally i think its a great chemical and does what it says on the label.  Since we have been using it we have found that the carpets in general appear to be staying cleaner much longer.  Those of you that use bonnet systems and have not tried this chemical yet should give it ago.

I'm currently using Fusion 8 and incorporating the "Stinger".... Results? Absolutely fantastic! I thought M Power was tops, but Fusion 8 has blown me away :) And the "Stinger" is a brilliant bit of kit for cleaning the waste tank down on completion of the job too!!!!!

Hi Colin, ive not really used Fusion 8 except on upholstery.  Have used M Power enough times now and to be honest i have never had the WOW factor with it.

according to the dilution rate it works out when diluted at 6.2p a litre RTU   ::) how  many sq yds can be cleaned with 1lt of RTU solution.

Seems very cheap, who has tested the soil resistant quality of the product ?

I would assume that if you are using it, you market it for both cleaning and soil resistance, if this is the case are you using it as a premium product and charging accordingly ?

If this is the case the margins would be huge on the RTU price.

If it's made by Solutions, it'll be as good as a car without wheels.

I take it your not a fan then,

have you tried the product or is it just the dealer you have a problem with ?

If its the product what went wrong or was it you just could not get it to work for you.

Matt,
As many on here know myself and Nick have had our fair share of disagreements over the years. In time gone by i would have been one of the first in line to say what you have said but the fact is i have used Fusion Clean by Solutions many times and from the first time i used it i found it very effective. Having gone back to sites some 3 - 6 months later after cleaning with Fusion Clean we found that the carpets visably appeared cleaner than when cleaned with other chemicals using the bonnet system.

Richie.

I bet some people reading my post will think i have had a bang on the head due to the fact im saying a chemical from Solutions is good  :o

Please enlighten us all then! What results did you have with M Power, Fusion 8 or any other product? You see I find Solutions chemicals brilliant... So maybe it's you that isn't reading the instructions properly.... Just a thought Matt.....

Guys, I think the "Let's slag Nick off" club was disbanded some time ago, in case you hadn't noticed.  And Dave I didn't think that was your style.

There are too many positive testimonials to argue with, Solution have a bloody good product range!  I don't get on with a lot of Prochem products but do I take every single opportunity to jump in and slag the company owner off every time someone mentions Prochem?  Of course not.

I know Nick personally and he's a damn nice bloke, as well as a bloody good businessman... in business you will always clash with people from time to time.  The bigger man shrugs his shoulders and moves on.  Says it all really.

Two words... grow up.

We've all had our moments with Nick but to be fair he's alway let bygones be bygones I do buy from him now and again for his speciality products infact I have a simular relationship with HM perhaps it's teh Cornwall air but it's all water under the bridge after so long, I do infact buy 99% of my stuff from the guy up in the North East that doesn't talk English ;D

I'm willing to give it go once I've run my current stock down, but I hope it's better than M-Power which was hugely over rated. I can't ever remember getting the results that some on here and other forums were claiming to achieve, and yes I did following the instructions/advice to the letter.

Dave  ;D no i havnt been drinking it....lol

Colin, i may have had a bang on the head but i cant remember  ;D

Neil, i totally understand your comment regarding M Power because after all the hype from people on the forums i still find it very hitn miss and cant get to grips with it.  Fusion Clean though really is a good chemical which is why i started this topic.

Chemicals that ive used from solutions are;

FUSION CLEAN .....The best bonnet cleaning chemical ive used to date, outperforms Prochem Bonnet Buff and Hydramasters Zip Dri.

STANDARD MICRO SPLITTER .....Not as good as One Step & would rather use Prochem Pure Clean

HEAVY DUTY MICRO SPLITTER .....Pretty good chemical works on variety of soils i would say its comparable (maybe slightly more heavy duty than) Prochem Pure Clean but for heavy duty carpet cleaning id choose Prochem Power Burst.

M POWER .....Loads of hype about this chemical but i have never seen the WOW factor that some claim. Yes it works on some things but to much of a hit n miss chemical in my eyes.

ECO POG SPOTTER .....Only use it once so cant really comment yet.

MICRO SPOTTER .....Pretty good general spotter but think the One Step spotter is better.

RX SPOTTER .....i thinks this is a great spotter, strongly recommend everyone has some on there van. Better than the One Step by far.

Richie.

NOW WHO THOUGHT ID SAY SO MANY GOOD THINGS ABOUT NICKS CHEMICALS??????????

It’s the same old game by the same old business, keep introducing new products to replace the dwindling hype of the old products. The wording new technology, new improved formula are usually used.
Different ways and means to re-create hype and get the ball rolling on a new product that promise the world.
When people start questioning results when the hype has died on this new product, another fantastic chemical will be launched that will change the cleaning world forever.

I have done business with Solutions past and got hooked up with the hype. I was kidding myself over the results for over a year until I went back to conventional chemicals. When going back, the ease and superb results of using conventional chems were immediate, I was so angry that I had shelved what were expellant chemicals in place for something that needed twice the work for half the results.

I don't do any business with Solution, and now, unfortunately, Hydamaster due to solutions involvement with the company.

Regards
Peter

Peter, to a point i know exactly what you mean.  When i first tried MS i was told all this good stuff about them and i think because i wanted to believe it it clouded my judgement. Im not saying MS dont work because they do but they are not as good as conventional chemicals as i first thought they were.  In saying that i was left to make up my mind regarding Fusion Clean whilst helping a friend on some large office jobs, it really is the best bonnet chemical i have used to date.  I hoped that i would see the wow factor from M Power that some claimed but i just have not seen it, ive used it on a variety of carpets & soils but still remain under impressed by it.,  the RX spotter again i was left to make up my own mind and think its great. I have heard people say that Nicks MS are better than those of One Step & Solutin Glokner but to be honest i have not been able to see much if any real difference between any of them.

Its not just Solution UK that bring out new improved chemicals.....they all do it, some are better, some are no different.  Thats just the way it is and is part of the marketing strategy.  Im not saying that im Nicks new best friend because im not, in fact i have not spoken to Nick for years but i have found that he does have at least 3 chemicals in his range that i rate.

M Power is the one chemical I would never be without.
We do a large amount of commercials which are usually low profile.
We prespray with M Power, scrub in with a rotary/brush, spray again then leave for as long as possible.
This we find gets out 95% of any stains ( including tea and coffee ) and the dirt just disappears.
We then bonnet with Solutions HD and and the jobs a good `un.
Did this on a golf club restaurant and lounge last night and again the results were impressive.
On the other hand I have tried Fusion clean and was not impressed, but only on one job so maybe I need to get it out of the garage and try again.
I am not a mouthpiece for Solutions but if you close your mind to a supplier you may be missing out on something that could work for you.

I can't believe you haven't backed your comment up.... ???

Why don't you concentrate on aerials and leave us serious carpet cleaners to make "Informed" findings on the products that we use...?

Such a fake ::)

So true.
We all witness it ourselves via the TV adverts. How many times over the years have Arial managed to make a more improved product? It's undoubtably the same product but just re-brand it with a newish name and fancy advert and everyone thinks it's great.
So if product X was the answer to 80/20 carpets last year, the year before and the year before that why tell us this is better, afterall the 2006 version couldn't be bettered could it????
