Hi
Does anyone here have an envirodri and use it for everthing? If so how do you get on? If you do have one and dont use it for everything why? and what do you use it for?

Yes I have one, excellent for pre-spray agitation, though it will void the warranty. No don't use it all the time no need to really a 'grandi groomer' hand rake will do a more than adequate job and I also have a rotary. I tend to use it on mingers, eot, pubs etc. Domestic poly twist today, pretty dirty but used some split X vac, groomed and rinsed with a half dilution of pureclean. Just a lounge and hallway and could not be fussed to pull the envirodri out of the van. I have done quite a few dry cleans with it too. I'm glad I purchased it and it's nice to be able to go to it when required.

How did you find the dry cleans? Do you think its possible to use it for most carpets dry?

i use it to agitate pre sprays, carpets and hard floors, even used it on deckin, wouldn't leave home without it. never bothered with shake and vac. not my cup a tea.

I have a Host system which is simmilar to the Gen4 and an HWE system.
I have used the dry clean on carpets that I have also wet cleaned. Where the carpets are not too bad, the dry sytem produces a good result, however where the carpets were marked with spills, gum, oil and other dross, the HWE achived the better result in a commercially viable time.
There are some carpets that should not be wet cleaned but not the otherway round. The HWE tends to be theone I use most often.

I've used it as maintenance system, but I could not say I could build a business on it, though some do and are very successful. Comparing the two systems I still believe HWE would do a better job in most situations. The benefit of having a rotary, envirodri and HWE is you have on board the system to suit almost any application, rather than doggedly being tied to one particular method.

When you say "used it dry". yes I have cleaned 3 carpets with the "sponges" and get a result but much prefer HWE.
"Used it dry" prior to pre spraying to get the loose dirt up from deep in a manky carpet, then Seboed vac'd it, then prespray then agitate with the Envirodri.
Host, Envirodri, Flexi5, Carpetgard, TM4 - all good tools (at various prices) - couldnt really be without one.

my customers tell me. all though most of them say it was allright the first time but last time he did it i couldn't tell the difference, then i clean and watch there jaw drop. real life, real people, real feed back.

I have the Envirodri still have loads of the microsponges but really only use the sponges for Belgian wiltons, most of the time i use it for agitation my only gripe with it is its weight.

you would take ages to use the spones if you are only using them on BW's

True, i dont use them that much now when i started i was using them a lot.

We were using a Sebo Duo for agitation and was always pleased with it but have recently got an Evirdodri which is much better and we use it on all domestic jobs as it does a great job of loosening the soil and we use a lot less water in the extraction process because of it. We had a Flexi5 on demo, which is a nice machine, but too heavy and cumbersome for domestics in my view which can cause unnecessary damage to the carpet.
We don't use agitation on commercial or cruise ships jobs as we use RX20's which deliver all the agitation required to get a fantastic result. I would think an Envirodri is a must portables, certainly a good investment.
