Title: wooden decking cleaning

hi,

have some decking to clean and custy my want it oiling after can you just pressure wash it ( on lowish pressure) then just oil it or should i use some kind of chemical cleaner first, or can someone recommend a good cleaner just to make sure a good job gets done. Plus does anyone have a link to a good supplier.. :)

have a look in the big sheds BnQ and the like they have some deck cleaner you paint on and leave and then wash of later

not tried it but its worth a look !

pre spray with bleach or percarb then pressure wash with hot and a fan nozzle. Pass the nozzle over the decking in an arc without stopping which fades rather than leaving a line at the start / end of each stroke. Oil I use is liberon but cahoots is said to be good

dissolve 2kg in 25 litres hot water. Spray on, leave 10 minutes & rinse with low pressure. Don't leave it too long as it will bleach the colour from the wood.

Alternatively, bleach does the job, but it bleaches the wood a lot quicker.

Yes.

Its not as aggressive as bleach, but you do need to pre-wet all plant life before starting work and then rinse it all off after.

got some algon to spray on then pressure wash off. Been told to hold the lance and move left to right and back working along the wood. Swinging it like pendulum
