Hi,
just a question regarding how much you think this business would be worth in the North West area.
I know its what someone is prepared to pay, but looking for positive comments.
Business includes the following:
Weekly turnover = £3,500.00 - Commercial only
Annual turnover = £182,000.00
2 vans fully equiped with 650ltr professional systems
expensive poles, etc
website
Also,
what would you pay someone to price up and complete deals, only in quality Commercial work, and also do all the Health & Safety paperwork on your behalf ?
ie: Risk Assessments, Method Statements, HSE,
Positive comments only
-
Depends on the outlay required for staff costs for me and how secure the contracts are.
-
Contracts are as strong as they could be
Some of which have been retained for 20 years.
3 men can complete the work on a weekly basis, so 3 wages, the petrol, and running costs to the vehicles and equipment - thats it !

i had a mate who sort of did that second bit in manchester city centre he was on about 16000 a year but he was working for a security company

I was talking to a mate last night who runs an air conditioning company, He told me he pays a company£250 a year and they produce all these for him, No limit and on demand. He sometimes rings them from site and they put it together and email straight to the client.
Sound like good value to me.

for health and safety papers yeah not to sign up and complete contracts ie wins deals in tendering situations etc which is no doubt what i imagine archer is after??
-
i should imagine if the profit margin is good that it should fetch 100k??
-
Archer.
just out of interest, have you been approached by a company from Leeds?
-
I would reckon about 10 months net profit, maybe £80k.
as for the wage I would say you could get someone half decent for £20k starting salary

Contracts are as strong as they could beAre there signed contracts, if so for what length?
Some of which have been retained for 20 years.
3 men can complete the work on a weekly basis, so 3 wages, the petrol, and running costs to the vehicles and equipment - thats it !20-25k wages cost plus 2 or 3 vans = 70k-90k IF the contracts are tied up for 5 years I would agree with David Morris prob worth 80k if word of mouth contracts, not much!
-
General businesses sell for 1.5x net profit plus the value of the assets in this case the vans and any premises.
As for the tendering situation i would recommend you offer a full time job like a sales manager and have them sort the tendering and pricing for you. Put it in the job descrition that they would need to file risk assessments and method statements
Good luck

With out a balance sheet all these values anre just guess work. One would need much more imfo: age of vans and make of systems the salaries of workers all costs Etc.
-
archer dont sell!!!! you must be talking at least £80k profit why would you sell for that when you could make it in a year??
-

£250,000.00 Sounds like an awesome business! I'de give you 100k for it!
-
We had our business valued recently by a very prominent agent, a business is valued primarily on a multiple of profits, cleaning is around x 2.4 plus assets

The fact is no one will put up an offer on here, the biggest w/c forum in the UK, because they all will think - why is he offering it for sale on here? Doesn't he want it? Isn't it worth it?
You''re on a negative from the start. If you have a business worth that much then you must know "real people" who would be intersted, or ... It isn't worth it!
