I take payments via the telephone. It is cheaper than mobile units.

Handy for collecting overdue customers.

Like most banking businesses you are never actually sure who is accountable.

The machine says Cardsave on it. (thats who I approached originally)

The bills say Streamline on them.

The main bank that it runs from appears to be RBS

You can use nochex or paypal, you could ring them and enter the details in them yourself. Theres no monthly fees for this, just per transaction, i think its about 20p + 3%, so about 50p for a tenner...which when you work out stamp and envelope is on a par...ish. But the moneys straight there, not having to wait for envelope.

To do that with paypal you need to have a virtual terminal which costs £20.00 a month then as you say so much per transaction.

I have an iphone so i can buy an app that does it on the phone but still its not cheap is it  with the transaction % and monthly charges once u start gettin £20 £40 £50 jobs :-\

yeah its called MOBILE POS

theres a few but most arent avalible in the uk

Ive just found out they charge you 50 setup then 100 pound merchant account then 15.00 a year plus 10.00 a month + 30p every transaction then a % of every transaction too.

so its really not worth it after all the cost.
