Title: removing foundation from wool carpet

Had a job Saturday, foundation in a wool carpet been there a while and trodden in, but had no joy in getting it out .  Any of you guys had this problem and succeded in removing it if so with what ?Dave

White spirit / Citrus gel /Solvex or POG

I also found some of it really hard to remove as it had been on the carpet so long and was attatched to the fibres..

 Tried all those things you said even tried red RX Ashbys spotter 3 to no avail

Dave, try this one, I sometimes use it with great care when all else fails. "Siroflex trade strength UPVC cleaner", bought from my local D.I.Y., also removes rust marks @ £4.85 for 500ml.  Also, try a steam gun after the obligatory test in an inconspicuous area. Hope it helps, Mike
