im mulling over getting a fresh 3metre triple set . most likely i would use just 2 sections mostly . i dont want to end up with heavy ladders or rubbish . up until now ive used a 2metre triple from ABRU and apart from blowing away in the wind i rate it as a great ladder but i need something bigger . i borrowed a big double set with no name (3.8 ) but it was too heavy ,no good
any ideas ?

im not sure why ,but im just not intrested in the w.f.pole game . i started window cleaning on a whim(doesnt everybody !) and ladders were the easy way to start off .
ive now got what is best described as a "slogger round" ,theres no cream ,just a whole heapload of run-of-the-mill houses . but a few are 3 floors/or want their gutters polishing and thats why i need something higher. it would be easy to just drop these customers and gain more lower houses ,but i like a bit of variety .// just id like to hear which make of ladder is good and for what reason

I always used these when I first started. (Now I use pointers.) Good quality, but I don't know how heavy they would be compared to what you are using. :-\

Titan ladders very good ... double 3.0m .. very light and have done everything for me so far .. can sprint up these and feel solid unlike some others I tried .. had to be 3.0m length as I keep em in van to save putting them on and off roof rack constantly .. few different specs of titans think mine are from the pro range rated to 150kg cos Im a big lad. :)

get 4.0m doubles and 3.0 or 3.5m doubles
the 4's will get you to most places you need to be, plus you can "half" them and get to most 1st floor windows with them.

Ramsay 4.5m double pointed window cleaners ladder. Good wide base, firm point, easy to set safely in almost any situation, will reach all three story buildings.
Designed specifically for the job by people who know what they're doing.
Why risk your life on a builders/painters ladder which is designed to be used in situations which don't involve constant and frequently moving short term usage?

I totally agree.
I employ and would never use anything else. These are designed for the job and are by far the safest bet from the users and eployers points of view.

cheers for all your words of wisdom. in the end im getting a 3 metre triple LYTE ladder set ,cos its the lightest of all the trade ladders .18.5 kgs whereas some are 24kgs / im mainly goin to use just the first2 sections. put spikes on the bottom .
i really liked the sound of those extending pointer ladders but iv never seen them in use and wondered how easy theyd be to get through narrow alleyways which i seem to have a lot of. i also carry my ladders through inside houses a fair bit . nontheless as pointers as theyre made for the job,i bet they are good , i just didnt dare gamble without seeing . every business has different size work i am thinking.

A frame ladders are the best to use for window cleaning, people will come on here saying H frames are best, but A frames are manufactered for the window cleaning trade, they are very sturdy and they give you more angles to clean from.
midland ladders are very good and very quick with delivery, I bought my ladders from there last year and got them the next day.
