Title: Leisure battery Wiring for WFP
Post by: slendersunfish on August 23, 2005, 08:49:26 pm
I want to add a second battery to just run my 7 amp pump for wfp
I understand from various posts that an 85 amp laisure battery will be best.

CAN ANY ONE HELP with this question ?.......... Can i simply wire the live of the battery to the pump and earth the battery to the cars bodywork.

Are there any problems with having two batteries earthed to the same car even though they are not connected.

I can recharge from a charger at home so this wouldnt be a problem
Any  advice would be most appreciated!!!!

If it's just the battery and pump you don't earth the battery - just connect the pump to the battery - if you are wiring up to the van electrics to get a charge from the alternator it gets a bit more complicated
