Title: Public/Employers liability insurance
Post by: Jan K on August 23, 2005, 05:02:09 pm
Hi Guys and Girls!

I am aware that this topic has been mentioned before, but as mine is due for renewal next month, I wondered if any of you have any pointers towards companies offering good deals on good policies. Mine is with Groupama at the moment, no renewal notice yet, but I like to pre-empt these things

Cheers!

Hi Jan,

How's it going?

I have taken mine out with Zurich Business Insurance. They came up with the best quote after spending time phone around various companies.

Hope this helps

Love

Hi Den!

Not bad, m8, not bad, and you?

Will check out Zurich tomorrow, pain in the old proverbial trying to get decent insurance for dom cleaning, eh?

Cheers!

Jan ;)

HI JAN,

It's not going too bad at all.Working is coming in thick and fast.Trouble is I have to go away on Friday for 1 week, dad is ill and he wants to see me.

One question if I can ask?

I am looking in to buy cleaning products in bulk, what do you use and who do you get them from, I a bit confused to be honest?

To be honest with you, Denise, I use a local cleaning company or my bulk cleaning liquids and a local DIY merchang for cloths, scourers, mops etc etc.........I'm not VAT registered yet so this is a more economical way of buying.

I relate to you with regards to the work coming in thick and fast.............its the same for me tho sporadic.........some weeks its all others its nothing. Still have loaded my girls up with as much as they are happy and willing to take and my waiting list is agrowin!!

Can't for the life of me find staff, not even bad ones!!  ::)

Have a good week away and hope your dad gets well soon!

Take care

Jan

Hello Jan,

I normally get my broker to shop around for me. I'm based up in Scotland but i'm sure he'd be able to help you. Drop me a line if you would like his details.

Hi Denise!

Yep, tried that, good and reasonably priced P and EL insurance (I discovered last year) is a nightmare to find for a dom cleaning setup, and Groupama (who incidentally I did find on via a search engine) came out quite well (£90-odd public and £140-odd per staff member employers, per year)

Probably stick with them unless someone here can come up with better!
