Why didn't you just un-tangle it?

My hose has never got badly tangled.

my advice would be NEVER gather all your hose back into a big bundle, had a customer do this for me once "Thought i'd help you!! all your hose is at the back of your van" he said. OMG >:(, it took me nearly 1/2 hour to un tangle it!  >:(

hose is the bane of my life, gets stuck on everything, Well saying that, the crap reel i got from purefreedom is worse, hose keeps coming off the sides, its not high enough off the ground so hose drags and jams it up, when just over half empty its too light so tips over when pulling hose out......crap,crap,crap  >:(    oh and keep cracking my knuckles on the ground when winding in  >:(

van mounted 100 mtr micro bore and heavy duty reel from gardiners, nearly 3 yrs and never got it tangled, i think having the hose reel bolted to van floor helps,
as i does not move /fall over, like it would, if it was free standing ;)

Seriously considering going trad after yesterdays fiasco  :-[ Am in the process of making a trolley out of parts off my busted backpack, every day i think its the way forward, trolley for wfp upstairs, trad downstairs, keep custies happy, no hose nightmares, no damaging flowers by accident with hose etc etc. trolley not advanced from buying a sac truck yet and starting to make a battery/pump box.More i think about it, the more it makes sense  :-\

do you just trap hose in the door?

i have a scudo, microbore goes between door seals , close door till it latches- not fully closed, door can then be locked.

Ah, I can see where you went wrong - cutting it in half is not enough. You need to cut it up into about eight pieces to untangle it properly.
