Title: London pricing
Post by: Martin Sambrook on August 21, 2005, 08:27:42 pm
Hi Guys 'n' Gals
ive got to do my first quote for a job in Bethnal Green, Block of flats, all of the communal areas, ive no idea how many square metres at the moment but was wondering if someone could give me an approximate idea on what you London bods would charge per meter.
As im in Chelmsford it may not be worthwhile me doing the job (very scary driving in london :'() so i might sub it out to someone else.
Any comments welcome
Thanks
Martin

All depends, better to base it on time as sq metre will not be accurate for some commercial accounts.

An approximate equasion would be

Product costs ie chem, travelling time, casual labour, petrol  and any extra expense (congestion charge)

add this to

(Hourly Rate x hours worked)

Hope this helps

Shaun

Thanks Shaun,
didnt think of doing it that way. Definatly seems better that way rather than per sq m

Martin,

Even as an ex Londoner myself I forget just how long it takes to move around London, particularly as you get nearer the centre.

I would price as a normal Essex job and add on £100 to cover travelling.

Cheers,

Doug

Add on £50 for a parking ticket because even if you park perfectly & display the correct details they will still find a way of giving you a ticket.

Believe me they are not human beings, you have been warned!
