Just wondered who had been on the 2 day ncca carpet and upholstery cleaning course and what they thought of it as im thinking of attending in june.
I would be gratefull of any feedback

I think it will benefit you to go on it, I am more than likely (work depending) going to attend the 2 days next month, ive been on the prochem two day course in March, alot of cc's on here have been on both and other courses, the ncca one looks very good.

done both and i would recomend either of them, if its your first course you'll be put off a bit because theres a lot more to take in than you could ever think. i did prochem 2 day first and nearly came home after the first day, stuck it out and it started making sense on the second day, then i did the ncca 2 day and the light bulb came on. simples.
so to some up, do both if you can afford it, but if not either will suffice, there both excellent courses and paul pierce at the ncca is an excellent teacher, and a bladdy nice bloke.

Thanks lads, can only attend one at the minute and just couldnt decide, the hours ive spent on both ncca and prochems websites tryin to decide. NCCA it is!

Good choice to do training, and the NCCA is a good one (not done the Prochem).
Save you pennies for further investment in training sometime not too far off.
Have you considered going to Warrington for a NCCA Technical day on Wed June 9th, 3 good speakers during the day for £40 inc lunch. A small investment. See another thread about a week ago.

The NCCA will cover all you need for the time being.
They will not try to sell you a particular product and should cover all the different types of prespray etc.

I've done both and benefit in different ways from each course. The Prochem 2 day is excellent because its technical, practical and theoretical. The trainers are experienced and know their stuff. The training facilities are among the best you'll find. The course can give you the confidence to make a good start in business, I've been going for about a year now and I've not looked back.
The NCCA course qualifies you as a member of a professional trade association. The qualification adds value to your professional image and presentation, if you're serious and want to add value to your customer service then this is one to do.
Looking back I'd still do both again.

before you go read these two books and you find passing much easier as you will already have lots of info in your mind and it will make a lot more sense.

Ian's right, for a good understanding of the science of cleaning they're really worth the cost. The books are well researched and easy enough to dip into.
