My Girlfriends sister has just taken over a beauty salon and they have a tanning booth (The spray on type) She has told me that there is over spray on the carpet and wants me to attempt removing it
I haven't actually seen the job so i know nothing about the carpet itself.
Can anybody make any kind of suggestion that would help me with this please
Cheers Goron

I had a fake tan stain to deal with yesterday on a wool blend carpet. Nothing I tried worked (basic stain removers).
Looking forward for an answer.

Goron,
I too have had little success in removing this type of dye.
As it is sprayed on the skin it must be resistant to water otherwise any perspiration would cause runs :o, so a solvent approach is the way to go.
Different polymers /dyes are soluble in different solvents.
I would try hydrocarbon ( white spirit),alcohol (isopropanol, eco spotter etc), acetone( nail varnish remover0.
Initially I would put onto white towell and gently rub to see if there is any dye transfer.
If there is none then probably best to save time and money by recommending they spray in a hard floor area 8)
Cheers
