Title: handheld steam cleaners

hi,

what does everyone think of handheld steam cleaners for kitchen and bathrooms? is everyone using them and im missing a trick! i saw cleaners using one on grimebusters on the tv and now i want one. does any think they are useful and where else can you use them?

i saw them on the grimebusters too and considered buying one, i've heard before as well thats they are really good for very dirty properties as they get dirt upin no time, however never used them before my self.

thanks for your reply. they arent that expensive so i think i might just give one a bash! im hoping it might get some of the scum off that sits in between the shower tiles and between the shower door joins! fingers crossed.

Just remember to check if your insurance excludes hot work - ours does and to do steam cleaning we would need to notify them and, possibly, pay an additional premium.

My personal opinion is I don't think there very good. I'm sure a big industrial one would be completely different. Bought a Vax one £90, lots of messing about & waiting for it to heat up, once its hot for heavy grease you do tend to have to go over things quite a few times lots of steaming & wiping. I find using cloths & good chemicals better than a steamer.
