today i received my ro booster pump from pure freedom but with no instructions!
could anyone tell me where it needs to go, before the pre filters or after?
help!
-
it makes no difference, I used mine before the prefilters and worked fine and was the easy way to do it. ;)
-
after the prefilter but before the membrains.so any derbis from the tap wont knacker the pump.just to be on the safe side. ;)
-
your prefilters do not need pressured water it can damage them only the membrane need the pressure ,so before them.
-
My pump is after the fist pre filter but before thr GAC and CB filter, it is running at 120psi and has not done any damage to either the pre filters or the membranes. My RO is producing water at 001/002 ppm, so I dont use a DI unit.

how does the booster work,by sucking the water from the mains? dont want to sound thick
-
it takes the water and increases the pressure.

draws it out the mains mate. ;)

Mark.... let me know what difference it makes to your production, may be needing one soon. Oh and how much was it / what does it run off ?
-
got it all set up now cheers,
jp its producing water much much quicker now fills my 200 litre barrel in less than 6 hours before it would take 14. it now produces more pure water than waste.
plugs into plug socket in the house bought it from purefreedom about 90 quid.
wish i bought one sooner well worth it.

Looks good enough for £90.... any limit to the continuous running time?

it cant draw it out of the mains unless you have direct connections which we dont !, your mains will only allow a certain flow from it at a certain pressure. or if like you say it did draw from it, your next door and people at the end of road would get very little water if any.
