Post by: chopsie on May 16, 2010, 10:19:20 pm
Does anyone use peter fogwells autobrush? any feedback? Also i believe they use fan jets on them, are these any good, and am i right in thinking you have to rinse on glass, does this produce good results?

in my humble opinion the best bit of kit on the market, you dont have to rinse on the glass its all down to you how you use it

am seriously considering one to reduce water use,(instead of getting a trigger) just do not see many posts on here about them

a trigger or valve taped to the pole is ok but it results in a loop that tangles. where the auto brush doesnt have this problem, it just works out quicker and safer in my opinion.

there will be a million disagree but ask them how many have tried it,

its heavy,.... and I hate fan jets.

Jouk has a diy version posted on the academy forum which is brilliant & cheap & very lightweight.

nat the newer brushes are lighter and you dont have to have fan jets. and if you want you can just buy the switch and put it on any brush you want

but for domestic how light does it need to be anyway, i have an old one and iam 5ft 6 and weigh in at 9 stone and can handle the old auto brush without a problem

is this a mans game or not

Nat I have the older auto brush, I would not say it is heavy it is lighter than a standard vikan mono.
Great concept, we need people like Peter to come up with things like this.

Hi the auto brush isnt the actual brush!it is the actual switch that is the effective part of it,and that only weighs a couple of ounces (if that)The switch can be fitted to any brush.

The switch & mechanism on the brush I had added 160 grams onto the brush. That was 3 years ago, the new versions may be lighter.

As Stuart said. All my poles have Autobrushes.  I much prefer the switch that works left to right but that's just me. As for heavy, I can use one on a harris pole easily with one hand and my mobile in my other, defo not heavy. I like things simple and the Autobrush makes my job quicker and easier.
